Apple just released the AirPod Pros—and they're already on sale for Black Friday  1 Month ago

Source:   USA Today

Right now, you can snag Apple's latest incarnation of AirPods, the Pros, on sale for a little more than $14 off, making them $235 instead of their usual retail price of $250. This might not seem a huge price drop, especially since we've still talking about a very expensive set of earbuds. But the truth is, this deal is actually remarkable as Apple products don't go on sale too often—especially on a brand new product.

Pros are basically a souped-up version of a regular set of Airpods. Unlike the Series 1 AirPods or Series 2 AirPods (which come with a wireless charging case and are also on sale right now for $35 off), Pros take everything that's great about the existing models and, in the words of our testers, "ramp it up to 11."

In addition to offering the same exceptional battery life (up to 30 hours per charge), easy connectivity, and world-class case that help make the Series 2 the best true wireless earbuds we've ever tested, the Pros come with new features like active noise cancellation and water resistance. Plus, you get silicone eartips so they'll feel comfy in your ears, even if other Apple earbuds don't.

You can also grab AppleCare+ for Headphones, which means you're covered for two years in case of accidents for just $29. Personally speaking, I lose headphones like it's my job and one of my biggest reservations about Airpods has been the fear of getting them repaired, since experts have said it's near impossible and expensive. With AppleCare+ you can get a replacement AirPod Pro if the battery drops below 80% of its charging capacity, and you're covered for two incidents of accidental damage from handling (but there is a $29 fee per incident to get them repaired or replaced). That's a small price to pay for peace of mind, and cheaper than shelling out for a new pair, if you ask me.

The Airpods Pro were already expected to be one of the biggest tech accessories to own for 2019 and one of the best gifts of the season, so the fact that you can actually nab them at a cheaper price is almost too good to be true. Since we're not sure how long they'll technically go for this price, especially with Black Friday coming up, you should definitely grab these now before the price goes back up, or worse—they sell out.
